My mistake. I had a dream the other night in which an old A.V. friend
(Shroud) came to me to say that he was trying to reach me. I occasionally
have lucid dreams in which someone I know sends me a message, so
I just wanted to follow up on it. I guess it was just a dream, not a real
message from Shroud.

Anyway, you and Shroud are very much alike. Both interested in vampire
literature and very kind in your conversations with others in this group.
You can't imagine (or maybe you can if you were here before) how
tumultuous this group became in the past, particularly by those 'real'
vampires who attempted to take over the group. We finally solved
that problem by creating a new newsgroup for them, alt.culture.
vampires. I don't know if it's still up and running, nor do I care.

Thanks, Weak Tea, for the heads up. Dreams can be sometimes
prophetic and othertimes just dreams. Anyway, I'm back on A.V.,
and if Shroud (or anyone else ) wants to contact me, s/he now
knows where to reach me. Shroud was the first person who
welcomed me to A.V. when I first came here back in the 1990's.

On the other hand, I think that I was the first to welcome
Incubus, who has become an old friend and who is still here
today. It's wonderful to see how many of us 'old-timers' are
still interested in talking about vampires and sharing our
knowledge about them.

I am not, as some have called me, the keeper of this group.
I'm just another poster, but I want to extend a welcome to
anyone who wants to join us and share in the discussion
of vampires in literature, movies, and history.
